I recently got back my Treo SSX 1500.1 from Amp Repair Center. Its up and working and here's a quick video of testing it out on an Infinity Kappa 6x9.

Anywho, my question is: should I hook up both remote wires? The first time I did, sparks came out immediately and was the first reason why the amp got fried. I emailed Treo to find out if the second Remote was a remote out, but they said this:

"They are just redundant inputs. Please connect both. Be sure to connect both power and both ground connections also."

I do have two distro blocks, one for the power and one for the ground so ill be using both of those. In the video above, i only used 1 remote wire. Is it okay to still go with 1 remote wire or should i do as treo said? I just dont want to fry the amp again.

both remote wires? does that amp have a remote out as well as a remote in?

thats what i thought. but treo said theyre both to be used as inputs. here is a pic.

I did fail to mention one thing. this time when i hooked up the amp, the ground was a bit more secure since i used the battery's ground whereas last time i used an existing hole that was used for another amp. in addition, i also disconnected the battery then hooked everything up and reconnected the battery this past time, but when it fried i didnt do that...could either of those be the problem?

I think it is like some of the DLS amps dual amp. Has 2 imputs you must hook up both.

Cool, i'll go ahead and do that but disconnect the battery and probably use a relay as well.

i used both remote on mine and it's worked fine.....

I'm pretty sure then that because I didnt disconnect the battery and was in a rush I blew it that one time...**** that sucks, a $225 lesson to learn. oh well, thanks guys for all the support.

quick question about the amp. is it rated at 3kw or 3200w @ 1 ohm and at what voltage?
