TRouble starting car after install...

-did an install in a civic

-RL-P 15" d2

-1/0 klmx power from batt. to pca2000d

-1/0 klmx ground- less than 3 ft.

-150amp anl fuse

-sony h/u

possibilities? just make a list of anything you can think of why the civic desn't like to restart.

1) may be a crappy battery, partially drained battery, etc

2) make sure the battery terminals are on tight, as well as any modifications that would effect draw on the battery.

3) were any aftermarket items on the car reset by disconnecting the battery for an extended period of time?

06 i believe. stock battery which may now be drained. replace battery posssibly? will have friend get it checked. nothing aftermarket other than car audio.

on some vehicles if you short out a power wire during the install you may have to reset the fuel switch. i know on my mustang it had a fuel shut off switch that had to be reset.

that happened to me. after installing my system in my ford explorer the fuel pump was shut off. I had to turn it back on by hitting a switch. I think it's a ford thing though. I would boost the car and see what happens, sounds like a drained battery to me

how did you check the battery? if you havent had it load tested, get it load tested. The battery, if stock all the way from 06, was in bad condition, the extra work from the stereo could have put its over its last limit and could have a failing cell.

When you say it doesnt start, what do you mean? Does it try to turn over, or is there any response at all? Could be a failing ECM or a bad starter/solenoid issue. I doubt that though
