i am trying to put a cd player in my 97' chrysler concorde, and when i have it all hooked up no bass comes out of the speakers just trebble. when i turn it up it get distorted, i am thinking the problem is maybe an intrenal amp or somthing else needs to be disconected has anyone installed a cd player in a concorde that can help me?????? please.

Just make sure the blue "antenna" wire in your Chrysler wire harness (probably a green/red factory wire if you were stupid and didn't use a harness) is connected to the blue/white remote wire on your new head unit. You're correct that the problem is most likely a factory amp.

well of course i used a harness, is anyone have a concorde that has installed a cd player in it, have any idea where this " amp " might be?

ok i found the amp, when i disconnect it i get no sound when i leave in one plug i still only get trouble, my four tweeters are going but my mids aren't im confused about what to do anyone have suggestions

of course it's going to do that... you're unplugging an amp lol... it's like unplugging your cd player and expecting it to play... you have to get a meter... find the speaker wires in the harness... splice into or cut the harness... and run wires to your new deck
