quick off switch for sub help

this dude i saw, had a switch on his dash that cut off his sub completly. it was a toggle switch. one side on other off... its not a bass remote. could anyone point me towrds the answer and how to do it?? thanks

simple,get a switch, And use it on the remote wire, When switch is off then no 12v going to the amp remote line. When it is on then you have remote 12+
