Treo TSX12 vs internet subs?

From what I read on their site (and remember), the TSX supposedly has 54mm of throw both ways, or around 27mm of xmax but at that price, that doesn't sound right....I've also heard that they're inefficient but if they can get loud off 300-500w rms, that would work well for me sealed.....

The TSX's will still hit hard. As w/most things, it's in the design or install. True, the TSX's are a SQ oriented sub, but they'll "bang". Nice 15 BTW, I'd put my SSi10 against that. **laughs**//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I actually heard that the tsx are more efficient than the ssi's. Either way, if you get the tsx its going to sound pretty nice. Just heard an install a couple days ago, with 2 12" tsx's and it was the boom boom and zoom zoom. You got pm.

That is true, the TSi and the TSX are a bit more efficient, but they also have a lower power rateing as the SSi and up have a higher one. Kinda sucks that my 850 watts could have the same output of a TSX w/300 watts.

the tsx will outwang the ssi anyday. my dealer puts a pair of tsx's up against the c2k 9.0 in a lot of his installs. i have two tsi 10"s off a zapco 1100.1 that outwang my two ssi 10"s that were in there. an, i think that the tsi and tsx both sound way better than the ssi. the only difference is that they cant pick up those way low nasty notes that the ssi can, but the ssi lags behind in the upper notes and punchyness.

treos are so underrated. my dealer and i both run 1100.1s to a pair of tsi 10"s. he puts a pair of tsx's on a c2k 9.0 in some installs. they can seriously take a lot.

oh, i forgot to say this again. the tsx will starve on 300 watts. give em more and listen to those things, they seem to wake up. i have heard three of them on a c2k 9.0 in a boat, and it was the best sounding bass i have ever heard.

How much should the TSX12 be given then to to its best?? I'm still thinking on AA's new arsenal lineup as well as the RL-p12 but most of all, I don't want something that needs more than 550w rms to reach most of its potential....

How would the TSX12 fare w/this much in a 1.2 (can stuff)cf sealed box in a trunk?

that should be just fine box wise, but power wise, i think 500-900 watts should be fine. put it this way, i am giving two tsi 10"s 1100 watts, i think the amps was rated at like 1194 watts.

im going for the the tsx's against the arsenals just becasue i have a honda civic dx and weight is an issue for me. while NOT ever hearing the new AA lines i know that the assassin 12" is already at 15 pounds. I have one, never used //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif, avalanche that weighs 44 pounds, but the two tsx's will weigh less than one ava and be louder. meh... flame me all you want for my reasons

If the birth sheets are accurate on my Xtant A6001's. Each sub is getting around 700watts. They are far from being maxed out. Also to help out I put my A4004 bridged on each on 400watts each sub(1amp on each sub have 2). They still Hammered hard. Really not a huge diff with 300watts less. I'm really happy with them. Missed calculated my box //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/blush.gif.99bc659ee2012b7d826165e26fb5eebe.gif each sub is in 1.62cf minus driver displacement. The 1.2 stuffed will work great!! Good luck //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
