Treo TSX12 vs internet subs?

Hey guys, I have been looking around for a possible replacement sub for my '93 Altima. I'm running a Memphis MClass12 sealed (1.2cf) which sounds alright but doesn't have much impact to it (even for SQ sub) off of 300w rms.

A local Memphis, TN shop offered me a Treo TSX12 for around $150+tax claiming it's the ultimate in subs,etc....I have run Memphis and have dual ported Atlas12s in my work van. I considered a Memphis M1 or M3 but don't like the prices yet..

How though, would a single Treo TSX12 do off of 300-500w rms in a sealed box (1.2cf) and how would it compare to a Soundsplinter Rl-p 12 which I've heard can get pretty loud and sound good off of only 400watts?? I'm trying to stay in the $150 or less range for now but may consider $175 (or a used Rl-p,etc). Any other brands that are good SQL subs and do best off 3-500w sealed?

Thanks guys

Jeremy

the M-1s work nice in small boxes they were designed for the people that own trucks with limited space or people that need that room in their trunk.

wtf man all i said if he wanted more bass, he should have pourchased something other than an SQ woofer....stop making stuff up and take it for what it is...
Just because he wants more bass doesn't necessarily mean he needs a subwoofer "designed for SPL." Think about it. What in the design actually means it best suited for SPL use anyways? There are plenty of woofers out there that were designed strictly with SPL in mind, yet can play accurately if implemented correctly, and vice-versa with "SQ" oriented subs. Just because a driver is intended for "SPL" applications doesn't mean it will be louder or provide "more bass."

Take THAT for what it is. Reality.

I just put 2 TSX 12s in my focus yesterday. Their in a 3cf box, seperate chambers of 1.5cf. Each is feed a around 700watts from my A6001s (1 on each sub). They hammer and go deep. Some of the best subs I have owned, especially for the $140 each I paid. Thats compariong them to Kicker Round Solo 12's, Audiomobile Mass 12's, MTX 9500 10's, and countless other. Really impressed me for a entry level sub. The build quality is awsome also! Great sub at a great price

just wish i could fit 2 ported 15's //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

Are you thinking TSX or TSI?? Aren't the TSIs the entry level subs?? Just getting things straight in my own head....//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

IMO, Memphis subs just don't sound so great sealed...ported, a different story....

So any others w/experience w/the TSX12 or RL-p (other than SS forum)...I want something that hits harder than my Atlas12 did w/decent sound quality. Also, something that is meant to sound good in a smallish sealed box w/300-500w rms (Profile CA800/600x1 @4ohms)
