SSX is power hungry and a BEAST down low but the 9518s are superior above 40hz..

i just want good sound.............. i can buy a SSX and a box tuned to 30hz for 400 around here is that a good deal

well that z1 is capable of doing 4kw @ 14 volts.. both of those woofers can handle a solid 3500 daily if its clean..

whats your budget? i know a few woofers that might be of interest that are better daily drivers..

That SSX in a tuned ported box for $400 is a definite steal. If you have the space I would go with that imo.

My vote is for the SSX as well. I'm half tempted to get an SSX12.22 myself in place of my two SSi12.22's, I just don't have the power for one, nor the space. All I have is 3 cf. My SSi's sound amazing and I can't give that up either.
