Just wanted to post a quick review on my experience with the Treo ssp 10. The sub is currently in a sealed downfiring enclosure that is .96 before sub displacement. I will be doing a ported inclosure in the future but figured i would try it in what i have.
First off, i am running a mtx rt1000d to the woofer, and i know it will only get louder in a ported setup... before this sub i was running a American Bass tnt 10 in a dual 4....which sounded great and handled the power with no complaints.
Comparing the two subs probably isnt fair considering the ssp is a beefier sub with a bigger coil.
The American Bass had very tight punchy bass while playing all types of music, the only thing i thought it lacked was on the very low end! I know running a bigger ported box would probably help with this.
Now for the Treo.... This Treo ssp flat out gets down! It does great with the punchy bass in all types of music but gets CRAZY loud on the lows that the Tnt 10 wouldnt really pic up!
Just thought i would Throw Treo in the mix for anyone in the market for new woofers...
