Picked up a Directed SX15D4 - Need suggestions! :-)

Anyone had experience with these? I used Viper Subs back in like 03-04 and I LOVED them.

The Directed, which was a New old stock, as a 15" in the trunk of my fusion. Already got my JL comps in the front, JL coxials in the rear 2 doors, all powered by a JL 300/4

Looking mainly for clean, enjoyable daily sound that can get loud when it wants. Hook me up with suggests

Box size? I want sealed. As far as amp goes I'm open to anything "higher" end. If I can find the Directed D2400 or D1200, I would love to match them up.

IDK, Directed hasn't produced quality equipment in awhile. The last good amps from them that I can remember is the 2400d, which did power at 2ohms and was very solid. The new stuff...eh

if it has the d in front of the number, it's crap, after, then it will make good power. an 02 1100d would be a good cosmetic match. it might be matched to a 600d, depending on the voice coils. frosted silver concave cones, right? iirc, they did not have much x-mech to them, so sealed, as i've heard them, does not get too terribly loud. go for vented, or band-pass. the manuals with t/s specs and enclosure specs can be found online, in the discontinued section on directed's site iirc.

Thank you so much for all ya'lls suggestions. I was hoping to find the older school Directed Amps, but I'm really leaning towards grabbing something from ANY DEI line that will make clean power.

Since this is my daily, and I'm only running 1 sub, I just want a mid/high end amp that puts out clean power and gets the job done!

The sx series subs really shine in vented enclosures man. I had a ten and a pair of twelves and neither sounded like much sealed but ported they were much better. Surprising output.

Thanks all...any amp suggestions? I've been checking eBay daily for the older directed amps.

I hear good stuff about the Audiopipes, but I don't know if I could live with having one, even tho the Fusion is my daily...
