Treo SSi's

To whomever runs these...how loud are they?

I currently have (2) 10" TC-1000's and I'm looking for something a little louder and am willing to sacrifice a little SQ if I need to.

Pretty much limited on what other subs I can run because of mounting depth (have a custom built MDF/fiberglass box that cost me too much to get rid of) and the Treo SSi's are actually shorter in depth than the TC-1000's are.

i had a single ten and liked it at first but then realized it wasn't all that.

-they are terribly inefficient so the need a lot of power.

-they kill the lows but **** up top, sound sloppy and boomy on rock with double bass.

-they need huge boxes when ported(1.75 net)

IMO they don't really do anything very well. they don't get loud off of rated power, they don't have good SQ at all when ported, need very large boxes. there are better woofers out there for less money.

i swapped out to a single Dayton Ref HO ten and i am much happier.

I used to have 6 SSi 15s and they were ported and tuned low... To like 26hz. They sounded great and would still touch a 150 @ 38hz non walled in an Expedition with about 500-600rms each.

They played every note and sounded great in my setup... Dont know why everyone else had problems with them.

There are much better woofers for the money... Only reason why I wouldnt run Treo again.
