Traveling to Mexico

i went ahead and booked my spring break to Cancun, but now im hearing about how unsafe mexico is with the drug cartel and whatnot having problems.

Does anyone see any problems with going to Cancun, or do you think its places closer to the border areas / non americanized cities in Mexico.

They've been warning Americans about the border areas for the most part... I doubt Cancun has too much trouble, but who knows?

LOL Your dumb for going down there. Just recently I saw a video of a shoot out between drug cartels and the Police. All you could hear was automatic guns in the background of the news guy. It was weird cause also in the background I saw a office depot and petsmart. So that just tells you they were gun firing at each other in the middle of the public.

should be fine they have those areas locked down good with lots of check points going in and its not in the smuggling areas. as for the xanax lots of farmicas are locked down and just sell the basics now It was a PIA to find a good one when i was there and no good vets offices.

Had a buddy go on his honeymoon in a tourist area in Mexico a few months ago, he said he would never go back.

I would not go to another country where there are known problems and get drunk and let my guard down, just doesn't sound fun and relaxing.

Cancun is safe. Its just mexico city/tijuana/michochaun etc

My parents are in mexico. I guess its safe if my parents are there when I go pick them up tomorrow.
