Transfer CD's to Ipod through Itunes?

it doesnt give me a bitrate option
I believe the bitrate is selected in iTunes prefrences, I'm not sure as I'm a Zune user myself but am pretty familiar with Apple stuff since I have to sell it and answer questions about it for work.

The default bitrate settings should be fine though. Likely 192kbps.

Right, it's in the preferences section. Here's how I choose what bitrate to record at:

Meh = 192kbps

I like it... = 224 kbps

Fuckin rage = 360kbps

Also, I much prefer VBR's over mp3's or WMA's. I don't think ipoops allow them though.

I'd keep the originals handy, in case you get tired of lossy music in the future and want to re-rip in a lossless format //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Deleted all my MP3s years ago...haven't missed them at all.

You're telling me you can tell any audible difference between original CD quality and 360 kbps VBR format?

I enjoy FLAC on certain types of music. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif. Can't beat lossless, unless you have a space constraint, or can't hear the difference like some people //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif.

I can't. 320++ kbps sounds just like the original to my ears. 128 kbps is //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif though.
