If you got the money then do the dual alts. It will also help with future upgrades.

If not, get whatever you need for the money.

my friend uses a DC alt in his 04 Envoy. i forgot how many amps it is. he also has 2 Autotek 4000's.

Both of my DC alts and the bracket were ~$1200 shipped IIRC, it's been a while since i bought them. But that has nothing to do with your price, because mine were for an Expedition. I called them to get a price when i was getting mine, instead of asking people on a forum that don't make or sell alts.
