Traditional Tattoos?

You would be surprised at how complicated some tribal can be. I'm not talking about the stupid shit you see on 18 year old's who just want a quick tattoo. Since you seem to have a pretty decent understanding of tattooing I would suggest you talking to your artist and asking him to show you some real tribal work and you will be amazed. I'm not a fan of tribal work myself but I've been to numerous conventions and personally seen some tribal piece's that blew my mind.

why would they want to convince someone to get something else than what they have their heart/mind set on? i wouldnt go there. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

For many people, tattoos are about aesthetics, not "meaningful symbols". Yeah a lot of people are all about putting kids' names and portraits of grandma on them, but I go for appearances.

because you can tell when someone doesnt know what they want and they just want something done, they believe that if you want something on you it should take some thinking, its going to be on you forever.

thats understandable and i know people can tell if that individual put thought into it or not but , some people do want tribal work done and have put alot of thought into it. ive always wanted some type of tribal dragon. so i got the chance to get it done for free , so i did. for some ******* behind a counter to tell me 'no' is just stupid imo.

ive seen people covered in tribals. he/she had to start with just one...

They dont just say no, they just make sure thats really what the person wants, they will still do it they just dont like it. most if someone wants tribal they should be going somewhere that specializes in that type of art, but not very many tattoo artists like to do it.

I know a lot of artists that won't do certain things. Mine won't do armbands or tramp stamps, no yin yangs or dolphins. Just won't do 'em. Sure some people put a lot of thought into that barbed wire wrapped around their upper arm, but 95% of 'em didn't and the artist would rather not waste his time on the 95 just to work with the 5.

true. i guess it would come down to exactly who that person is. im sure if someone with full sleves and a chest piece wanted a dolphin jumping through a ying yang on their *** cheek , they would do it since that person obviously knows what they want.
