Got an amp off here, traded, hooked it up,worked fine for a few days, hit a small bump, sqealed like a stuck pig.Left it off for a day,now no worky.

Seller said it worked for him, recomended a repair place and said that was the best he could do.

Does it sound like the guy knew it was messed up from the beginning or what...even his post,he said something about a loose cap, assured me it was fixed correctly.Even a repair shop gives you at least 30 days...i mean wtf!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/verymad.gif.3f39c5c2fd57527b671fad3efdfac756.gif

(does that amp have a blown cap? bottom row, on th right, it looks popped. No, it's just a little loose and I marked it with a sharpie so I would remember to solder it back on. )

What do you guys think?

I was told about this situation. It was my understanding that you didn't properly mount the amp and that it was jarred due to hitting a pothole. That's not really the previous owner's problem or fault in my opinion.

I know it sucks, but this kind of thing happens when you buy used equipment. If it arrives safely and works properly when you install it, the seller's obligation to you is finished...

If the seller said it had a loose cap and you hit a bump and it goes out seems to me the seller knew it was faulty in the first place. In which case he should be responsible.
No, I hot glued the cap back and it was secured, there was no problem with the amp at all when it was shipped.

it was wiggly nothing was detached or non functional.... the cap was wiggly and i glued the cap. I ran the amp for 30 min straight the day after doing this at 2 ohms to my sa8s and it worked great and trust me I went over bumps, I live on a gravel road with many pot holes.

The BUYER knew about the fix to begin with...................and still bought the amp. The amp worked and played...........the seller did his part. A seller can't predict how long a used amp will last or how well it will be installed.

There's also a distinct possibility that something ELSE caused a problem when OP hit this bump. I've had a similar situation but it was the fault of the HU (my mids fried and not my amp though).... horrendous screeching sound then smoke from mids on both sides before I could power down.
