He's your pops, and no matter what happens, he always will be there for you. Talk to the guy.
ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOFFFFFLLLLLLL
if you think that's a blanket statement to apply to every dad.. You're wrong.
My dad beat my mom and she got away from him when I was 2. Since then, I've only seen him a few times, and I've probably regretted every time. I'll illustrate a few for you:
I'm in college, he's about to get out of prison for almost killing a woman from beating her so bad. We're sitting there and making light talk... not doing too bad.. then he asks if I have a girlfriend. I say no. He says "yer not a f
uckin queer or nothin are you?"
Oh wait.. first.. before that. The gaurd leading me to him was like "who are you going to see?" I said his name... the guard goes "oooh yeah!! great guy!" I was like "do you even know what he's in here for?" He replied no, so I proceeded to tell him how my dad stabbed this woman so many times that had the police not been there to clean her up, she would have died. That and the fact that her eyes were completely black and she had a SOLID bruised area from around her knee, all the way up to the top of her thigh.
He turned green and got quiet.
Then he gets out of prison.. and it's close to christmas.. and his bday is christmas eve. So I decide to go over and see if he learned anything from prison. Basically, he tells me how it was all a joke, and he could talk his way through anything, and then told me some effed up view on life and how he's all bitter at the world and stuff. Then... he had 2 reeeeeeeeeaaaaly interesting quotes. Keep in mind, this is coming STRAIGHT out of prison:
1) "I call n***ers n***ers to make them FEEL like n***ers"
2) "100 lb woman, or 300 lb n***er, I'll still beat the shi
t out of them."
And then there's the last time I showed up... after he got out of prison, AGAIN.. he was engaged to marry some chick (despite the reputation that preceedds him, he still gets lots of ladies) and he sent me $6 bucks on my 21st so I could "buy a 6 pack." Oh yeah.. child support for when I was growing up?? HEEEEELLLLLL no. I decided to see if he changed yet again. Showing clear evidence that he hadn't, he worked up to his quote of THAT night. He asked me how I was doing. I was doing pretty well and told him. He then said "Yeah? Well you don't come around here to see how I'm doing, so I don't give a shit how you're doing."
Turned around... went downstairs.
In closing.. this bullcrap about your dad always being there... is not always true.
