See thats half my problem. When I go to an audio store i don't think any of the speakers sound all that good cos they're stuck on a wall and not in my car. If I was convinced that adding an amp and comps would be a big improvement then I would do that. I guess I don't know to what level my stock speakers ****.

My stock speakers were actually decent and were able to keep up with my sub fairly well

If your just looking for a small 10 inch sealed sub i dont think it will drown ur speakers out

I'd agree that the amount of low end you're looking for probably wouldn't drown out your components. And if it did, you can just turn the gain down on the sub until you can get some better ones. But you may be satisfied with your stock components and won't need to buy any (don't let that make you think that replacing them won't make it sound way better, though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif )

Did you amp your factory highs?

I had my factory highs amped for sometime and actually sounded pretty good, but there were seeing at least 50rms each. Still work to this day.

I say if you keep your factory highs, at least amp them. Then work on the sub and amp.

If you gave us more a total budget, instead of only want to spend this X amount of dollars on this and that.

I didnt amp them yet but I am going to pretty soon then ill just replace the wiring I have now and put it on my new speakers. Their power handeling says 15 watts each so Idk if its such a good idea //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Pfft, I believe mine were 20 or something like that. They did fine and sounded surprisingly well.
