hey guys my friends got a sub wit a torn surround i heard of putting rubber cement on something like that is that true would it work or not? and if so where could i find some?

You should be able to use silicon or something like that to fix it. That's what I did with one of my old 12w3's and it worked fine, although you have to redo it every few months if you bang it pretty hard.

I heard that silicone will wreck a sub but i could have heard wrong?

silicone would eat up paint and corrode the baskets. I dont' know if it is harmful to surrounds.

dont think there would be a problem.....silicone works pretty well......rubber cement works well also....
