Top Brand Amplifier Rankings

Orion HCCA. Before the G4 crap. The 2nd and 3rd gens are best. Those were bridgable without the BDG400 module. The 2nd Gen 250 was the strongest in that era, the 225s were best in the 3rd generation. And the 2100 was just plain GREAT in 2 and 3 gens.

(sorry for owning only HCCA amps from that era, and my number is 5 of them, about to be 6)

Out of those amps you listed...if you do not have extensive external processing, I would give the Zapco DC series a good hard look. The "sound quality differences" are going to come down to the processing abilities of your system more than anything else (after having good quality speakers and a great install). And if not using extensive external processing and plan to only use what's in the amplifier, the Zapco DC series pretty much takes the cake. Along with the Kicker SX series.

The XXKs are just being sold as leftovers now,
So does that mean we can find them at unbelievably low prices, as to help the dealers move their aging inventory?? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

the dc still has more tuning capabities than the kicker sx. the processing in the dc is the same as the new dsp processing from zapco, its just built in. they have all the processing you will ever need. i wont give up mine for anything.

Other than that....I would simply take whichever amplifier out of that lineup gave me the most power for my money, while still giving me the features I need/desire.
x2

Once you get to a certian level of dampening and low THD, sonic differences are 100% bassed on avalable voltage and how much processing you can do to set your sound stage and improve your responce curve.

Every single amp listed (as far as I know) have quality past the immesurable to our ears. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

i think the best amps out there are kickers SX/KX/ZX amp line. ZX/KX are rated at 2500 at two ohms and actually put out at least 2700 at the two ohms, not only that they ares stable at 1 ohm and for burmping they go dow to .5.

I also kike the DD amps and RF's Power series. both put out assloads of power

the dd's and treos put out boatloads of power, but i would still go for a c2k 9.0 on the bass before i would go with one of those.
