top 5 spl subs

Cactus Sounds make some of the loudest subs with proff in non-extreme vehicles.
But with only 1500 watts I think a 3" voice coil would be better off like an Re MT or DD.

I'd think something that doesnt have quad stiff spiders would do better off of 1500w. I could be wrong though. MT's just dont seem to be that efficent.

Mag's wang off of 1500w though there are louder.

I did 149.7 on the TL with (2) MT 18's on a single MD2D (1800 watts).

With only 900 watts per sub, they sounded great playing music.

You missed my point that MT's do not have to have 50,000 watts each to get loud. . .

well 18's arent quad stiff but that is still impresive. MT's are more efficent than I thought. I geuss a lot of people round here running MT's just dont know how to get them loud.

MD2D's are more like 1500w @ 1ohm. They share a board/internals with at least one other 1500w amp.

1.) MT 18 from RE is tripple stiff. I assumed you had the norm.

2.) You didnt state you had it at 0.5ohm. I'm one of the few people that I know of that had the balls to run one at 0.5ohm because USamps said they dont like it. Therefore I assumed you had it at 1ohm. USamps says they do 1800w at 1oh mand 1500w at 1ohm so I assumed you where just stating the rated power.
