I am a big tool fan, but like Squeak said, they are not for everyone. They are very deep and if you pay attention, you would be like god dam, that is really some deep shit.......and I don't even smoke, lol!

Not to mention I like the beats. Tool sounds phenomanal in a nice SQ system.

I was randomly watching some evening news show as I was channel surfing a year or so back....NBC Nightly News or something and they did a little 5 minute segment called "Tool is Cool" where the news anchor talked about TOOL and why he thought they were a great band. It was pretty fucking weird, having a band like TOOL promoted like that randomly on a national news show.

Lateralus song and album are great.

It took me a while to really get into Tool. I started off just casually listening to their music while I was at the gym or studying, then the songs started getting stuck in my head. Next thing I knew, I couldn't stop listening to them

lol the guitar in tool is nowhere near as good as alex from rush but danny carrey in my opinion is the best drummer out there besides thomas lang and the bassist from tool can hold his own against geddy lee

I stumbled upon Tool's discography, and it's one of those bands I'd always suspected I'd like, but never listened to them. Well, now I have the chance to listen to all I please.
I've listened to Aenemia and Salival, and honestly I'm not really impressed. I mean it's good, but everyone on here I've ever heard talk about them is like "ZOMG BEST EVAR MUSIC!!!11!"

What are some of their better tracks and albums? This seems like a band it would be good to be fond of. I'm the type to judge on the first listen whether I like something or not, and so far, this hasn't done much for me.

I dont think there is a tool song out there that I dont like. tool or perfect circle, Maynard puts me in a dream world. Aenima or Vicarious.

Undertow is amazing, but Aenima is the best album they made, IMO.

Saw Tool in concert at the Mesa Ampetheater, az around 97' Great band. Great concert.

I love Tool. I used to like Lateralus the best of Tool's album but after a lot of listening, to all of their albums, I would have to say 10,000 Days is my favorite, it just has everything. Anyway, no band is for everyone, if you don't like it, that is cool.
