I believe this is due to the amp settings, box freqency, or having 10's but I thought id give it a try in this section first. I have 3 10" L7's in a 3.5 cu. ft box tuned to 37hz. Theyre being powered by a power acoustik a3000db with gain and bass boost set a bit below half way, frequency ~80-90hz and phase switch at 180. The headunit is a panasonic 7301u I use the flat eq setting and have bass set at about 3/4 the way up,the sub-volume setting maxed out low filter is set to 80hz and high filter is set to 180hz.
Im pretty happy with the way they sound when it comes to spl but heres my problem. Im getting more of a vibration sound rather than a low more bass like sound. Especially when listening to rock it seems like the subs just vibrate rather than actually hit some deep bass notes. If it makes any sense I get more of a BUUURRRRRRR sound than a BOOM. I have played with the volume settings on the headunit quite a bit and still no luck. Anyone have some suggestions? Thanks.
Also im pretty sure its not the truck actually vibrating because even at moderate sound levels when there should be some reasonably low bass its just more of a burrrrrrr sound.
