Too much power

I was going to use this amp Rockford Fosgate T1500-1bdCP for w7 10 but crutchfield said it would be too much power even if I turned the gain down. Is this true? I dont wanna go with the 1000 bd because for 40 more dollars i can get a 1500bd

Dont worry about it, just keep the gain down real low
