Alright guys I was wondering if a profile ap700m would be too much power for a powerbass PB-C156D wired to 2 ohms. Here are the specs on the amp and sub. Thanks.

Sub:

15 inch woofer with chrome cosmetics

60 oz magnet, DUAL 4ohm VC

Power Handling 300 Watts /400 Watts Peak

Sensitivity 91dB @ 1W/1M

FS= 22.7HZ, QTS=0.68, VAS=430.7Hz

Frequency Response 28 Hz - 1 kHz

Amp:

Max power output @ 4 ohm 1 x 450W

RMS power output @ 4 Ohm 1 x 220W

Max power output @ 2 ohm 1 x 700w

RMS power output @ 2 Ohm 1 x 350W

Frequency response 20HZ- 250HZ

signal to noise >103DB

stereo separation 83DB

RCA input Voltage 200mV-8v

RCA input Impedance 20K ohms

Load impedance 2-8 ohms

crossover frequency 50 HZ-250HZ

Damping Factor 300

From the looks of it no. If you chose to go with that amp you would have to keep an eye on the sub and listen for any distortion for the first week. If there isnt any distortion on the sub then it will be fine. It will even put less load on the amp and run a little cooler.
