Too much power?

Alright guys I was wondering if a profile ap700m would be too much power for a powerbass PB-C156D wired to 2 ohms. Here are the specs on the amp and sub. Thanks.

From the looks of it no. If you chose to go with that amp you would have to keep an eye on the sub and listen for any distortion for the first week. If there isnt any distortion on the sub then it will be fine. It will even put less load on the amp and run a little cooler.

Would that be my best bet then, wiring the sub to 2 ohms?

u can only wire it to 2 or 8 ohms, you really have no other choice. Read the gain setting tutorial and set your gains accordingly, and you should be fine.

Yeah, you can wire it to 2 ohms and then just watch out for distortion and there shouldent be a problem.
