Too much air space??????

I have two Polk Audio db 12's in a 5.5 cubic foot slot ported box tuned at 35 htz. Is this to much of a box for these 12's. If so, should I go with two 15's?

i have my 12" se's in a 4 cube box and thought that was big, but different subs like different enclosures.

I use to have 2 12" L7s in a 6.5^ft box..talk about big.

depends on what it takes to get the response you want out of the subs...but keep in kind that a larger box = less power handling.

larger box has less air resistance so it can bottom out easier iirc.

Spec calls for 1.5 cubes. I only have 450 watts running to these at 2 ohms.
