Too hard to put a sub in an 04 Impala w/ advance audio?

My mom wants to put a sub in her car so she has a little more bass, she doesnt want a new HU either do I. How hard would it be to put a line converter in because of the factory amp? and what do you reccomend for a cheap but decent 12" or 10" maybe with an amp to power it?

infinitys are pretty cheap but aight subs..theyll run about 60-100bucks?

Hows Clarion with this Boss amp for cheap? The subs RMS is like 375 and the amp does 425 @ 2 ohms but I doubt that it does that.

That suggested system is $200 and then you'll need some wiring... Pretty good if it's for a mom and everything. Pretty good deals too. You could probably even find a better/more reliable amp in that price range that would work too.

For that price man I would do an infinity reference over that clarion. I've heard em, we sell em, and I don't think very highly of them. If that amp really does put out the power it claims, no question but you will fry that sub. We sold one to a guy in a wrangler running off of a pioneer GM5100T bridged and the blew it after 4 hours... (his gains were set correctly and everything else)

I found the sub on ebay for $40 dont know if it is new or not?? even though it says brand new..
