Too big of a box bad ?

I have a Rockford 15 P3 and their website says its best in a 1.58cu ft box ( for sealed )

I'm looking at a sealed prefab box thats 2.26cu ft.

So...what will I gain and loose using the larger box ? I plan on running between 500-650 watts.

It will produce lower frequencies better and require less power. It will not be as punchy and higher frequencies will not be as loud.

1.58 is suffocating for a 15... you'd also have to count in how much space the sub takes too. You'll be fine.

I have a mb quart pwe354, in the recommended 1.5 sealed, and it gets down pretty fvckin good, going in the wifeys car on one of trumpets jblez501's, when it gets here. Had the mb on my saz1500v3 at 2ohms, I was very impressed. Tried to find a second, to rum em both in my ride, but alas, I was unable to locate one. If things go they way they usually do, once I put everything in her trailblazer, THEN, one will show up.
