To wall or not to wall?

Okay this winter I plan on starting my project blazer (mid to late 80's). I want to put 6 Memphis mclass 12"s in it. should I but them in the trunk area facing up OR make a wall n have them shootin towards the dash. i was messing around wit me 2 mclass 12"s(in prefab vented box) in my 4runner shoot toward the back and stright up doesn't sound that much diffrent. x2, I think walling is the reason I joined this forum.

I wouldn't wall unless I was going to compete. I would try different types of ported enclosures (since you're running pre-fab now) and see if you like that better, perhaps better sub/amp combo can be found with similar pricing without all that goes into a wall.

OTOH, depending on the results of a directors meeting, I may or may not be building a wall.

I prob will compete but I just dont wana be 100% comp only. like last comp I went to guy had 4 15"s can't remember the type in a old monte carlo I think.....windows reinforced, massive concrete..ect but yet no walls //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif Not many people around here get into systems. I have yet to work with a wall because of that. but the recomended space per sub is 2cubes I just dident no if I should put the work into a wall for 12 cubes.

make a port plug so that you can have it tuned for daily, then u take the plug out and it bumps the freq up to what u need it for @ comps......takes abotu 30 seconds to put in or take out //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

find someone whos bad *** at designing boxes and give them the specs u need. also try to measure ur trucks resonation frequency, and tune the SPL freq to that....good luck man
