without bass boost, did u guys ever had to put ur gains almost all the way up for the sub to pound? well when i tried my x600.1 amp with my old mtx 400 rms sub..i had to put the gains almost all the way for the sub to pound...is this normal or what? i know i should check the gain tutorial but i had to turn the gains almost full and my old ma audio amp didnt need to be all the way up...it had lower rms by the way..

thanks

from my experience the xenon amps like a hotter signal. The gain on them seems to be cut up more, then some other amps ive used. In all just use a dmm, it doesnt matter that the gain is higher on the xenon, then a previous amps you have used. All amps have different gain settings. It has nothing to do with the power of the amp either. Go to radio shack fork out 15 bucs and get a dmm.
