Please tell me what amo to get for these subs

I might be putting 4 12" type Xs in an eclipse I am going to get and I need to know what amo would be good for 4 ohms?

well any amo would be sufficient but i prefer say .50 cal or even a .454 casull. but like stated even .22 cal would do a good deal of damage to 4 ohm subs

you will need an amp that runs at either 2 or .5 ohm. But the high power handling of those subs is going to make it hard to find a single amp that will power them properly.

run a pair of amps, like a pair of Orion2500D's on those. That way, you can get a 1 ohm load on each. But that much power also means some serious electrical upgrades.

btw, how the f*ck do you plan to fit 4 of those monster subs and amps in an eclipse? sounds pretty hard to me.

Thats of course if space permits, I will be getting the car so I cant measure right now. Also I plan to put in a 250-300 amp alternator.

I agree with SSS 2 orion2500d will be perfect for those type x's.

On the specs of the 2500 it says at 4 ohms that it puts out 1200 watts, so does that mean that each sub will get 600 watts?I think the Xs need more power than that.

read the rest of the ratings. At 1 ohm it puts out 2500 watts, or 1250 per sub. You can wire a pair of 4 ohm DVC subs to 1 ohm. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif
