To small of box damage subs?

About to possibly pick up two kicker S15L7 the silver ones with the blue center emblem. Anyways there both in a box which from looking is prob like 2cu ft at most. I don't know what amp was up to them yet, but would such a small box damage the subs? If I get them I'm obviously going to build a new box for them...

It will lower thermal power handling if the enclosure is too small. This will limit excursion due to the possibly severe underdamped alignment.
