Im going with 2-15" Re Audio SE's and a massive audio p1500

started making the box the other day after lots and lots of planing and caulculations

All the wood cut out

Didnt have a router so i rounded the port peices with a sander

1st piece connected to bottom

port wall put up

SANY1036.jpg

siliconed the inside before the top was put in for easier access

SANY1037.jpg

Cut out for the SE's was 14", so i got a scrap piece of plexi and did a 7" radius and drilled 2 holes one for the screw the other for the pencil

SANY1038.jpg

drilling a hole for the starting point i carfully cut out a circle with a jigsaw that was almost perfect

SANY1039.jpg

same for the 2nd hole

SANY1040.jpg

with the extra wood from the circle cutout i made a port corner

SANY1041.jpg

and finished the assembly of the box with mounting the top on

SANY1042.jpg

SANY1043.jpg

on to painting the parts of the box that may be seen

started out with useing grey primer

SANY1044.jpg

ran out of that quick so i moved onto black primer

This is it for now, hopfully i will get more done tomarrow. The rain threw off finishing it when i wanted too. Alot more to come! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Not diggin' the port at all. You should've designed it to where the port is just straight out, instead of having to hit a bend right at the end.

i dont know what a port corner does. I thought people used angles to try to keep the width of the port the same all the way through. With just a small sliver of wood there, does it even do anything?? And i agree with james, not a very good design.

edit: and not sure what woofers or what kind of power you are running, but maybe a little more bracing would be beneficial.....??

we'll see, i dont think ill have any problems with it, i didnt have where the subs were going to be so i planed it that the port woulnt hit the sub at all

but i had some free cans of undercoading/sound dedener so i lined the trunk with a few coats, idk how well that will work

Image00581.jpg

and took an old blanket to wrap the spare tire, no loud vibrations from there

Image00591.jpg

got for painting work done on the box but dont have pics up, ill upload and post later

i was thinking about bracing, but i didnt want to do that untill one of you said something....so i rethought that

i added a peice of wood from top to bottom and ran another peice of 3/4 mdf to go between the subs

Image00611.jpg

and i used black undercoading to paint the parts that may sometimes be seen

Image00601.jpg

and i did a bit of wireing today

Image00621.jpg

the wire mess behind the deck.... itll be more organized later

Image00641.jpg

heres running some monster RCA's 4 & 2 channel and speaker wire

Image00631.jpg

took out the backseat, to run even more wires under it...i want a clean look when im done

Image00651.jpg

Been busy with work and colder weather the last few days, but i did some tonight after work

crimped some ends

Photo-0001.jpg

got this dirt cheap, but idk how well it will work???? its a Capcell 600-Amp, it holds a charge

opened it up and its kindof a 6 cell battery

Photo-0002.jpg

And the box in the trunk, and started a few measurements from there, but you guys will see...

Photo-0003.jpg

Did the big 3 and hooked up the power wire to the batt

Photo-0011.jpg

the battery is a sneaky bugger with it hiding spot

Photo-0012.jpg

kicker DS 5.25" installed in the door, think i might make some pods for them later

Photo-0004.jpg

And alittle more work on the box

cut a bunch of cardboard strips to find the curve of the trunk

Photo-0007.jpg

Photo-0006.jpg

then made a cardboard cutout of the curves on more cardboard for test fitting

Photo-0008.jpg

once that i got a good fit i traced onto the 1/4 MDF i picked up home depo

and cut with a jig

Photo-0009.jpg

need to make to pieces to have it fit in the trunk

heres the test fit in the trunk

Photo-0010.jpg

a few more cuts, carpet, installing of subs, and amps and ill be done
