TMA 500.1 amp output problem! will paypal $20 if someone can help

&*^@&*^!&*@^ this shit is pissing me off...story

I have a 1 week old TMA 500.1 amp pushin a 10w3v3. I got the 2ohm sub so its runnin a 2ohm load. Its hooked up with 4awg wiring all around, and levels, xover, and bass boost are set a little under the mid point.

Heres the problem.

When the radio is on it will work fine for about 2 minutes with a green light, then suddenly shut off with a red light. I will disconnect power to try to reset it but itll still come back on at red. But if I let it sit overnight the next morning itll work for another 2 minutes then shut off. I dont think its overheating cause its 7am in the morning, the amp is cool to the touch and the level is set conservatively.

yes it is. the amp is also 2ohm stable according to specifications

how? My subwoofer is rated at 2ohms. Can I unbridge it?

is it a DVC 2 ohm sub or SVC 4?

no but when i get home from work i can open her up and take pics? What should I look for? Is there any obvious signs of defect I should be aware of?

open it up and see if you see any smoke spots or burn marks on the board. If you see one youll need to get it serviced and have the part replaced. Take a good pic of it and post it up.

Its an SVC 2ohm so i believe I am limited to only running a 2ohm load. I understand that 2ohm runs hotter but I have the level set very conservatively and touching the amp its still cool and it was on at 6am with a outside temp of 70 degrees

i second the checking your grounds.....i ground everything, if possible, straight to the frame!

The redlight still stays on the amp. If the ground was bad wouldnt there be no light? Im still at work so i cant check it yet...

sounds like its going into protect probably due to a burnt part or loose connection inside.

if the ground is not making good enough contact, it will power it for a bit, until a hard note hits, and them amp trys to pull more current....and then it will go into protect......ground it to the frame!
