Why does he need to tune to 50hz.......he doesnt know what his truck peaks at?

If i tune my box to 50hz ill lose a good bit in my truck.

He needs to find the resonant freq of his truck than tune around that....not just 50hz cuz thats higher

Well that explains why you jumped up then. I never metered well with my car off, hence why I never did those types of shows.

That's part of the reason that he jumped up, but he didn't really gain much from it. When we first started metering I had him set his truck up exactly like it was when he competed at the Carl Caspers show. I think he only broke like a 140.2 or something like that. With some tinkering of the car and not even messing with the box I gained him over 3 dB

i had 2 nightshades 15's on 1 saz3k and did 153 on the dash sealed up ... had them in 4cubes each 33hz would do 150.8 bassrace

What are you peaking at in that? I've always seen explorers peak in the low 50's.

Which is an easy car to get loud Our 2nd generation Explorer is almost as loud as my little truck when dealing with minimal equipment. When more stuff is throw in there, I think it surpasses mine.

I think the Nightshade would have won by a couple tenths. I did have a hdc315 w/ 8 layer aluminum coils and more power that only beat my R by .3 dB.

yeh....those are a good bit louder than my year...and alot smaller/better windsheild for metering

Mine is a 2000 and I was amazed at how easy it was to get loud.

With 4 AQ hdc3 10's and 2 AQ 2200's mine did a 152+ on music. I needed 4 15's and 4 2200's to get past it with my Tahoe.

Yehh....that year is amazing, itll compete with CRXs in stock classes if ya know what youre doin
