tires?

I'm looking at a 20'' wheel and tire package for my car, and ive seen alot ofgood deals but the tires are from brands like federal, nexen, hankook, kuhmo, nankang, etc.

are these tires any good...im just looking for basic tires, nothing high performance or anything

I have tried nankang and hanook and believe all the other brands you listed are all about the same 'quality' as those two. Never had a problem with them, you can probably upgrade to a brand name tire for $100 (at least in 18's) so I would say the only reason to upgrade would be if you like the better name. Personally I could give a shit less I would rather save the money and my 103HP Scion if not going to be doing 130+ down the highway so they hold up fine for me.

If you are really going to beat the piss out of them then it may we worth the upgrade to brand name.

yeah, im not looking for anything too extravigant just somthing that can somewhat take a beating, i do a bit of traveling in the summer time to car shows and such.

my car came stock with kuhmo. they **** in the rain, but otherwise they are good

cheap tires will wear out alot faster, especially if you have camber issues after upgrading to 20's

overall nitto grips the best... and there good price..

stay away from the kumhos had nothing but bad luck with them... i wouldn't use them if they were given to me.
