Tired of Kicker need MAJOR help! SUBWOOFER HELP

Here's what I have.....Swiss audio 1 Farad Capacitor, Kicker 08ZX1500.1, 2 Dead again for the 5th time Kicker 11S12L72, HO alt and Yellow top Battery.....85 Chevy caprice 4 dr with plenty of room. I don't have a budget can spend almost anything but I don't want to but 1k on a sub Just need something that want keep giving me problems! Looking for a pair of subs that can work with the kicker amp. Any help is much appreciated!

first thing loose the cap. second thing, figure out what your doing wrong that you keep blowing subs.

If your gains are set right, the subs you had should be working fine.

also the problem is Now my warranty is gone so I would have to pay for new subs and being since I started trolling this site I see there's better options for me than Kicker so I guess I need advice and maybe some help on settings

It's great to want nicer things, but there's an underlying issue here. As much as I don't like Kicker, I've seen those subs take a beating.

Im not complaining the shop changed them out numerous times at no cost to me so I got my money worth.....I dont have a budget I just want something that will work with the amp and any ideas suggestions are very much appreciated!

Sure, I guess I'm a millionaire.......Im being honest I dont have a budget sorry if most do But i dont. I dont even use this car it sits 99.9% of the time The only reason they did blow out and it was used by lil Bro.

You have other issues besides subs, even though you are driving them with 2x rated power..must be clipping. Either someone is playing too loud, or the gain is not set right, or the car's electrical is not up to par., or any combination of the three. Any sub you run on that amp has the potential to fall victim to the same circumstances, if something is not corrected. For some good subs that will take that amp and get loud in the right box, or a ho alt, or some batteries? Here is a very good place to begin shopping:

and many many more and all have drivers that will work with your current amplifier.

Some things to consider though..

1. The enclosure. You will need a new one and no one ever suggest prefab, so consider how/where you might pick up a new enclosure

2. You will need to find a new place to get your product tuned.

If your up for a bit of a drive I can help you out with all the issues, but it is a bit of a drive to get up here.

I currently used a prefab box and I was told not that I know...that the box was a POS and the port holes are to big and kills the subs (no clue)....I wouldn't mind the drive since theirs so many casinos the wife wont say no lol But this car is a cop magnet and I get pulled over like crazy in it!

What should my gain be set at? (either way I don't have working subs at the moment lol)

and i don't know what clipping is.....Electrically I think its good I believe I upgraded the wiring when i did the Alt with the Big 3 honestly don't remember since i don't use the car much ill double check when im home
