Tips on trying to stuff double din deck into cherokee

I want to stuff a double din into a cherokee, I know whats suppose to be done, not sure on the materials though. What kind of filler and such should I use, where to get it, also what is the best paint for interior plastic since I will have to repaint it? Lastily, should I just used mdf for supports than just put filler on? This is gonna be my first time doing this so I'll probaley mess up a few times, oh well, practice makes perfect.

fiberglass , body filled mat,primer, sand paper glue gun paint or upholstery, thats all you need and make sure everything is level

I have an 08 Cherokee and am going to install a DNX5120 DD Nav Unit and Crutchfield assures me it will fit.

Mine is a 01 Cherokee Limited, where is the best places to get the body filler and such.

Dont know for that year or model, but you can also search to see if other trim models of that year-ish had a double din opening and just buy a new dash piece of ebay or something. Thats common in 300s and such

I am getting ready to do something like this in my honda civic crutchfield says only a single din will fit ha. Ebay sells the trim plate and I might have to cut a piece of metal in the back other than that I am good to go. So you might just have to get the right kit what year is it?

I use to have a double DIN in my 96 Mustang...it looked pretty sharp...I custom built the dash bezel from a spare and relocated the climate controls to the location of the storage pocket....It was 10 years ago...way before Double DIN's had gained popularity....
