tint

3m blows...its like buying jl subs..way over priced and there is better out here for much less money.
to op.....50% is whats legal on front doors and i believe 35% on the back sides and rear. expect to pay atleast 130 at a good shop for lifetime warranty and if you have inspections, then if you go darker you won't pass them and will probably have to remove it
how do you know whats legal for him.

ive tinted with some of the other stuff at about the same price and the 3m was the best. it was a little thicker and it doesnt crinkle as easy. if you go to a shop and buy a sheet from them, its cheaper then you can find on the internet.

well in cali zero tint on the front to is legal. anything else is a ticket waiting to happen. mostly those with 5-10 percent like muah. haha ive gotten many fix it tickets from windows to tail lights. just do whatever feels right to you. its your car! remember you can go as dark as you want on any of the back windows. also i paid 120 to get mine done with 3M tint about a year and a half ago at this local tint shop out here. 5 windows to. well three large two tiny.

New York Tint Law Enacted: 1991

HOW DARK CAN WINDOW TINT BE IN NEW YORK?

Darkness of tint is measured by Visible Light Transmission percentage (VLT%). In New York, this percentage refers to percentage of visible light allowed in through the combination of film and the window.

Windshield Non-reflective tint is allowed on the top 6 inches of the windshield.

Front Side Windows Must allow more than 70% of light in.

Back Side Windows Must allow more than 70% of light in.

Rear Window Any darkness can be used.

actually its LIGHTER THAN 50%....70%IS MAX ON ALL SIDES
