Tint...

Im looking at tinting my windows. I found the same exact color car as mine with the same S4 rims I put on. I'm wanting something that will just help with the sun and air conditioner a little, look good, and will not draw any attention to the cops at all. I like this tint on the car but can't tell if it's 35% of 50%. I wish there was a 45% :very mad:

But anyway here's the picture, and let me know what you guys think of that tint. Keep in mind 50% will be darker then normal on my car considering I have dark black leather.

That looks more like 60%. 35% is WAY darker than that.

If I were you Id find a shop that installs 30%. LLumar makes a 30% ATR film. Awesome film, wouldnt use anything else. I even use it on my personal vehicles. Metallic, lifetime warranty film.

OK has the same laws as TX, which is 25%. 30% on the sides, account for % in glass already, you will be just above or at 25%..perfect.

Deja..25%, yes. But you have to account for color in the glass already. With 30%, you will be right at the limit.
Yes, I was talking about 25% final to remain legal. If local LE isn't strict about it, then I'd go 20% film all around.

Hey guys thanks for the opinions, I'm just not wanting something that dark. In the city they are strict, how do I know? I've been pulled over before for 20% all the way around. Not once but twice before I took it off. I'm not wanting to just be at the legal limit, I'm wanting to not look suspicious with dark tint either, so they have no reason to pull me over. Any of you guys got 50% ?

50% is worthless. Stick with the 25% legal max.... and since it's the legal limit in OK so you shouldn't have to worry about getting pulled over or about looking suspicious... unless you're doing/hauling something that would warrant or attract such suspicion.

This paragraph is worth one thousand words. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif Again, I will never own 20% or 25% again regardless. I dont even need them pulling me over to check the tint. I might get 35%.

Ive had 15% on my front windows, and 5% over factory tinted glass in the rear. Fronts meter at 12% and rear meters at 2.6%. Ive never had a single problem, and I tinted it 5 years ago.

35% is what every car that came in the shop got on the sides. If they hassle you for 35% on the sides, they apparently have too much time on their hands, because 90% of cars have 35% on their windows.

I have 15% on all my windows except the windshield, and I am still thinking about going darker, even tho the police are strict about it in my town. As long as they can see a figure in the window they shouldnt bother you. 50% and even 35% would be a waste of money. Its not really changin anything. I say go with the legal limit of 25%. If they pull you over you have nothing to worry about unless you are doing something illegal.

Yea, I think I'm going with 35%. 50% doesn't seem like it would be worth it, it's just I really dont want to take that chance if you know what I'm saying. 35% you can normally see through correct? Just not much?
