tint with messed up windows?

i want to get my car retinted but heres the thing: my two back windows roll down but not up. i can hear whatever pushes the glass up going up but the glass doesnt follow so i have to pull it up myself and it scratches some of the tint off. anyways when i place tints your windows do they have to roll them down at all?

get it fixed before you go get it tinted. they need to move the window up and down

fix the window motor/ crank whichever you have then tint them or else youll just waste money by getting the tint scratched off again

I called my stealership and they said that it was probably my window regulators? and that for both it would cost $575. even if i just took it in to get it diagnosed it would be 45 bucks. thats why i dont really want to get them fixed haha. guess ill have to though. ugg.
