ok i have a 2002 4runner and i just purchased 1 12" kicker L5. This is my first system and im kinda afraid it will be stolen. My trunk windows dont have much tint at all and u could easily see through the back window to see my sub. I just feel like anybody could steal it. Would it be a good idea just to get tint on my windows?

think about it, if the windows were dark. nobody would see in. thats good right?
take it to a tint shop. and get it tinted.
yea im kind of a newb at this how much does tint cost and how much does installation cost.

No tint = clear, easy to see-through windows and plain-looking "Blah"-ness

Nice tint = more difficult to see what's inside, increases resale value, easier on the A/C system, better overall vehicle looks (do I need to go on?!?)

for a large suv up here ( toyota four runner ) i got all the windows and the front lip in 5% for 150 bucks //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

they charge 50 dollars a window here no matter how big or small.

But I have a good friend that works at apple auto glass and get it done alot cheaper.

Just cruse around untill you see a shop with young guys working there and go talk to them. they will probley do it on the side for alot cheaper.

A regular tint job usualy runs 150-200. If you want the best then look for shops who are authorized 3M dealers. It's the best tint you can get and it's what they use to tint skyscraper etc.. I got 3M tint 20% all around except front for $250 w/ lifetime warranty.

Tint it like this.

People cant see through the rear windows at allor night. Can see in the front sides during the day.

But after dark, you cant see anything.

Im going to make the fron side windows darker. Im going to make it 5%. I paid $110

wow very expensive down there in the south, only 100 bucks at the shop i go to for any percent tint you want and it has a guarantee.
I paid $160 for 35% on my front doors, 5% on the back doors, back window, and windshield 'brow.'That was for Llumar film (just as good as 3M IMO) with a lifetime warranty.
