ya sounds like recone time, also even if you just solder the leads back together depending on how much of the x-max your useing the leads can then become to short
You CANNOT simply re-solder a broken tinsel lead. As Cochese said, it will simply break again. You have to, at least, replace the entire tinsel lead, soldering it back on at both ends.
