Tinsil lead broke.

A tinsil lead broke on my alpha. Any way to repair it? or does it need to be reconed?

If you can somehow solder it back together it should work, if not then recone.

i think its blown. I put my dmm on it and the one that the leads are fine on read 0 so i think i am gonna have to get recone if i can.

ya sounds like recone time, also even if you just solder the leads back together depending on how much of the x-max your useing the leads can then become to short

soldering the leads back together is half assing it and a bad idea. to properly do it, you need to replace the entire lead.

You CANNOT simply re-solder a broken tinsel lead. As Cochese said, it will simply break again. You have to, at least, replace the entire tinsel lead, soldering it back on at both ends.
