Tinsel slap covered by warranty?

One thing I find strange is we have never once had a lead slap issue. Also, if the leads are slapping to the point you can hear them out side the box then you are reaching over the intended excursion limits of the driver. Which in turn confuses me as to why only one apparently is doing it.

Or just wait for denim to post in here, lol.

Thanks Denim for narrowing it down for me.

Turns out I had a very very very small air leak on the bottom of the subwoofer, I was able to push down on the outside of the thing and some of the sound was gone. I was able to feel a very faint amount of air when I put my face next to it.

I took the sub out, put some double sided tape on the bottom (works like weatherstripping I suppose), screwed the bish back down and the sound was gone.

Here's another short video with the gains at about 1/4 on the sd 1500. Turned it down sinec I didnt want to blow my brains out trying to feel for any air leaks

Just saw this thread and was going to suggest that problem, but good you already figured it out. I have had the same problem before. Air leaks around one sub and it sounds very annoying when you open the trunk.

Blah, looks like there's still a small air leak.. It is a ridiculously small leak that's making the sound. It sounds fine in the car..

tired of troubleshooting this box :\
that def sounds like your bottoming out or somethings in the gap, no way thats an air leak.

sounds like something hard like metal is hitting something else so may be tinsel slap still

It's not bottoming out.

I was able to switch the left sub with the right sub (Right side sounds fine), and the sub that sounded fine on the right sounded the same when put onto the left side.

It's def. an air leak.....
