Tinsel slap covered by warranty?

Got the two SSA Icon 10's in today, however.. one of them sounds like it's got tinsel slap.

I took a quick video to reproduce the sound, as I'm not sure if it is safe to play with the tinsel slap.

The sub on the right sounds perfect, the sound is coming from the left subwoofer.

Is there a quick fix to this? Or can I send this in to be repaired. I bought these brand new off lilmaniac

it does it with the trunk closed to (or so i can hear it when i stick my head where myh 6x9 opening is)

and i'm not mistakening the sound with something in the trunk rattling. the sub on the right sounds perfectly fine. the sound is coming from the subwoofer on the left

You can try bending the tinsel out and down, that may help to eliminate the slap.

are you sure it is tinsel slap and not something else?

try contacting the manufacturer and see if they can mail you some tampons to glue on the cone and see if that solves it. if it doesnt, then your problem lies elsewhere.

There is a pad on the cone for the tinsel to hit, with that in mind I doubt it is tinsel slap.

i'm lost at this point. not sure what it could be thats producing that noise. it's annoying as shit when the trunk is open and music turned up. It sounds fine inside the car, but just knowing that it is making that sound does not make me feel happy about the new setup

It probally only makes it when the trunks open just let it go if you can't hear it when your jammin don't pay it any mind.

why? that is what they call the little pads they glue to the back of the cone.

if the leads are too long, you can use a soulder gun to heat up the connection at the terminal & shorten the lead slightly.
