Copper clad aluminum is NOT the same as tinned copper. Knu's KLM wire is an aluminum conductor with a copper cladding. Aluminum does not conduct as well as copper, but they make up the difference by making the KLM wire a larger diameter.
Tinning copper is to prevent corrosion of the conductor.
OFC, and CCA are both forms of copper wire.Tinned aluminum isn't as conductive and offers slightly more resistance,hence they use more strainds of wire to lessen the resistance and allow the current to flow better.
