i love diamond..theres a shop in elmhurst that swears bythem over everything and i used to think diamond was like hifonics type stuff untill i heard them..but in this situation with only 500 watts a sub the w6 would be perfect for them..i think to truly get your moneys worth out of a d6 it would like 750 watts to 900 wattsbunch of diamond haters. =)
good point, but with a 1000/1 couldnt he wire it somehow to produce 1000wrms to each sub?i love diamond..theres a shop in elmhurst that swears bythem over everything and i used to think diamond was like hifonics type stuff untill i heard them..but in this situation with only 500 watts a sub the w6 would be perfect for them..i think to truly get your moneys worth out of a d6 it would like 750 watts to 900 watts
im sure he could, but i dont have much experience with jl amps so dont know how hot it would get..i love jl's component speakers and subs but i really dont like there amps..for the money you can get other quality amps with much more power.good point, but with a 1000/1 couldnt he wire it somehow to produce 1000wrms to each sub?

That amp produces 1000 watts (or a smidge more) at any resistance level within it's operating specs. So he could only get 1000 watts total, or 500 to each sub.from what i read, 1000/1 is stable to 1.5 ohm. So if he bouight 2 2ohm dvc, wired to a 2ohm load, his jl amp would put out 1000 x 1@2ohm.
just loud mid bass my furry red ***diamonds, Jl w6's are decent but w7's are just loud midbass...
