Just thought I'd share..

My dad was telling me how his f150 really needs a overdue detail and my mom's explorer needs a detail as well..

so we went out and bought bunch of "over-the-counter" products.. I have heard pretty good reviews on ICE products so I decided to get most of the products by ICE..

We are gonna buy 6.7 HP, 16 gallon water/air vacuum sometime this week and my dad already got a shampoo machine (his and my mom's vehicle really needs plenty of vacuuming and shampooing while my definitely does not ha, maybe just a bit of vacuuming lol)

here are the pics:

I also bought some stuff to paint my rotors' hubs and calipers. I am gonna do the hubs black, and the calipers silver

I hate to burst your bubble, but that nxt 2.0 wax *****.

You should have made a thread that said what should I buy.

I just spent 130 on a bunch of zaino products.

Zainostore.com

One thing I do recommend is Meguiars natural shine interior detailer. Works good on all plastic/vinyl. In and outside. Comes in a big red bottle.

But best of luck to you either way. Post some pics. before/after.

no Claybar kit?

I just spend about $50 on claybar kit, a few microfiber towels, meguires wax, amoral interior detailer, some black magic tire shine, and a few air fresheners.

glad i have all leather! shines up veryyy nicely.

I knew it you all would say I should buy this and that.. lol

I am pretty confident with what I bought..

and all this is bought by my dad since we made a deal that I would detail all of our vehicles but he is the one who buys the products.. Our Meijers got buy one and get one free deal right now so all this did not put a dent in my dad's wallet lol.. (thats why we didnt go all meguairs, they were not on sale)

But for my own personal use, I plan on buying a Zaino's kit..

P.S. I have read PLENTY of good reviews on Meguiars NXT 2.0 so I am positive it would give me good results..

look harder, clay bar kit is 5th from left.. it is in a box.. by ICE

The meguires products are good nxt will do you right but the liquid clay is a no go from what I hear. Meguires has a decent kit not to aggressive. Like the other guy said pics! Before and after. Good luck and have fun

I will be getting zainos products when I am going to buy detail products..

my dad didnt want to order anything, he said he wants something that we can grab at stores and he said Meijers had this sale going on so he wanted to do it so each to their own I guess..

And I figured it would not hurt if I used those products on my Explorer as well //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Zaino is gods gift to detailers.

I had an issue with the show car polish on a black car, called up Zaino, left a message, and Sal HIMSELF called me back. I was VERY impressed with that!

Great company that I will back 5 gillion %

This was a customers car that I clayed, washed, and put 1 coat of polish on.

i read in motortrend or auto week that all carnuba waxes are the same

and all clay bars are the same....

dont know if its true

I clay bar my car once a year, its to dusty in DFW to keep a car clean for more than 20 min

that mustang sure came out great!

but it is so easy to make the black paint shine.. so I think if you got a black vehicle, get Zainos for the best results..

I definitely will be shelling out some money for some zaino products in the future.. for now I am going to use what we just got today..

what zaino products did you use on that mustang though?

Turtle Wax and Armour-All make some of the cheapest detailing products out there. Sure, you can make the car look good right after you use them, but they offer hardly any protection. The exception being the clay bar: all of those are virtually identical except for the color.

Do yourself a favor, though, and return the "Back to Black." That stuff is useless. And I would be weary of taking advice from someone who says that they put on one coat of "polish." //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
