Time for change

Hey, if you want to buy your LA gear then do it- i personally believe you are wiping your *** with your cash if you do that. Even the type-r guy had a way better suggestion for a total system for your current budget- and there are a ton of subs that will sound fantastic for less jack than that memphis. Are you just looking amp/sub, or are you wanting components and an amp for those too for that amount?

yeah some more info would be nice....but if it were me...heres what i'd do..

sub- pioneer 3004spl usually around 130 on ebay

amp- that audiobahn 8002t or whatever 100 bucks on ebay

comps- powerbase bseries 6.5 35 bucks....yes 35 bucks on ebay (i love them)

comp amp- any budget 2 or 4 channel would do the truck...and you may have money left over to buy rear fill (if you want them)

I like how all of the sudden I am the "type R guy" outta no where LOL......Just saying for that budget that would be a good simple system...

this is the set up I am looking at.

head unit-- Sony CDX-CA400 already installed

front speakers-- unknown as of this time

rear speakers-- Lightning Audio B2.69.3 Bolt 6"x9" 3-way coaxial speaker already installed

amp-- Lightning Audio B2.300.2 Bolt 2-Channel 900 Watts Max Power

sub(s)Lightning AudioB3.12.4 Bolt 12" SVC 4 ohm 750 Watts Max Power

I will also get new RCAs. I have already installed my 0 guage wire, my distro block and my fuse blocks. Yes I know that 0 guage is a little big for the job it will be doing but it makes upgrades in the future easier. Plus I got the 0 guage for free and I would have to pay for smaller wire of the same quality as my 0 guage.

If you're hell bound and determined to buy LA, at least get their better stuff. IMHO, the gentlemen who put together the Type R system has a great idea. You would LOVE that system x3 over the LA system, no questions asked. Just what I nkow bro and I'm not disrespecting LA as a company, but it's part of it.

I think that would be a great idea and i am considering all of my possibilities and if I can get a new job I will most likely change up EVERYTHING to a Planet Audio system. Everything would be Planet Audio. It would be the exact same setup we had in the comp car last year only tuned for street beating and not for competition.

I will look into the storm equip. I might change my mind. who knows what I will do I might focus on the comp car and worry about my car later. But thanks for the ideas everyone. I will look into the storm and see if I like it. I might look into some other ideas and I will thank about all of my possibilities. the whole LA thing is what I want because it makes it where I don't have to replace all of the decals on my car.
