im just going to do the port on the bottom and subs on top..Port in the middle and sub on each side will be least loud, subs on pass side and port on driver side will be the loudest.
Port on top and subs on bottom will be almost the same as port on the bottom and subs on top. And you should be able to break 150 with these setups.
Most importantly brace the baffle to the back wall. If the baffle flexes you will have alot of loss.im just going to do the port on the bottom and subs on top..
any tips on bracing?
im no good with metalMost importantly brace the baffle to the back wall. If the baffle flexes you will have alot of loss. You can use 2x4s but I mostly use 1" square tube steel filled with fiberglass resin to eliminate resonance.
I have my jeep walled with 2 18" MTs on a jbl A6000GTi and it is a sub on each side and port in the middle and im doing a 153.1 legal certified at the dash. And windows down on music im doing a 154
Although.... i think i have gotten bit by the spl bug again and i may be doing a rebuild on the wall..
Btw.. Hi ED! lol
loud bass with music for sure!!!are you going for numbers or just insanely loud bass? if its just numbers a 150 can be had with 2000watts or less.Just takes a little time screwing around with the box,,by the way Ed i made the baffle thicker and gained 1.1 Db![]()
