I read HiAmplidude's review of the cd8445 and it appears to have a HPF/LPF. That uses the same frequency with both. But with an adjustable slope.

good stuff...heck if the deck isnt for you at least the 8455 will get you the higher resale value and i bet you cn even sell it for more than you paid...plus the eq mic, memory card included...
yes you can! it has a parametric eq from 63 hertz to 10 khz in pro mode.........You will not find a better sounding HU at all. I believe IMO the Eclipse 8455 will sound better than even McIntosh head units. Really?? Is that right?? Eclipse makes some of the best sounding decks out there in their price range no arguing that. I love Pioneer but I know the upper end Eclipse have an edge on Pioneer. But I can't buy that they're a nicer sounding deck than the Mac.
